Anyway im Tommy from Velocity Tuning. We are dropping a youtube video later today to go into a little more detail but to clarify. It is same day solution, it is not using a pre 2020 x3m dme (they are becoming hard to obtain these days)
The calibration area is open and bootloader, asw remains locked like on any secure unlock solution for security reasons.

Tommy has answered most of the questions already here, huge thanks to him for that! As well as his “FAQ” video is coming soon and will be linked in this topic.
Just quickly want to add couple things from our side:
1) We did not yet promise any exact dates concerning the US unlocks. It’s coming, sure, we see US as our main potential market. However, we do not set any availability deadlines. So if you were planning to send ECU to femto - just do it, dont wanna hold you down guys with some blank promises.
2)Custom ROM:
We only had MHD support requests with a very very rare BM3 one-off requests. So we did not contact BM3 and do not plan in any near future. MHD received a message from us almost day1 as solution started becoming more or less public for beta-testers.
So far, we have tested MHD+ on S58 and it works great, but also brings a HUGE security threats to our solution due to how the custom code is structured (MHD is informed). We are not taking any chances here and not going to release a single MHD+ ECU out in the wild until we are 100% it can not be used against us (will require either more security related patching from our side, or restructuring of the code from MHD side, WIP here)
3)Pricing.
Same day = comes with much harder solution overall, with much harder logistics and is more time consuming for out team. Therefore, solution WILL ALWAYS remain more expensive than the Femto alternative. We are targeting the people who value their comfort and ready to pay, for everybody else, instead of complaining, just contact Femto, they are great guys proven with years of good work.
4)”Encryption keys”
Guys, stop mentioning all this nonsense, that’s just funny for anybody deeply involved. Not even taking into account that such “magic keys” able to unlock the ECU do not exist… Even if they did, nobody, especially Femto has shared anything with us, we are two different companys, using two different solutions, targeting different customers.
Only calibration area is remaining unlocked for end user. The secured algorhitms for ASW (ROM) area update is also coming as soon as custom ROM related threats are out of the way.
